“The more we study life, the more we realize how rarely there is a soul who can honestly say, ‘I am happy.’ Almost every soul, whatever his position in life, will say he is unhappy in some way or another; and if you ask him why, he will probably say that it is because he cannot attain to the position, power, property, possessions, or rank for which he has worked for years. Perhaps he is craving for money and does not realize that possessions give no satisfaction; perhaps he says he has enemies, or that those whom he loves do not love him. There are a thousand excuses for unhappiness that the reasoning mind will make. But is even one of these excuses ever entirely correct? Do you think that if these people gained their desires they would be happy? If they possessed all, would that suffice? No, they would still find some excuse for unhappiness; all these excuses are only like covers over a man’s eyes, for deep within is the yearning for the true happiness which none of these things can give. He who is really happy is happy everywhere, in a palace or in a cottage, in riches or in poverty, for he has discovered the fountain of happiness which is situated in his own heart. As long as a person has not found that fountain, nothing will give him real happiness.”—happiness defined.
I'm from the East-Coast too and I want to move to California. I hate the cold too. But everyone I know who moved there turned into monsters. Meeting celebs and always wanting to get higher in the social ladder. Exploiting people and the new people they meet :( It's sad.
not just everyone is like that, and also don’t decide to not move somewhere you have wanted to just because other people suck :p
I can tell you're from the East-Coast. You're normal compared to LA/Hollywood people. What do you miss the most about where you're from?
awh well thank you, I never will let where i came from leave me, the east coast will always have my heart, its built me up to where I am today and I am so thankful! I honestly only moved here because i was getting depressed over the cold, i do not do well with cold at all haha. I also had a very good friend living out here so I knew I would have great friends to get to know. I miss my family more than words can express and I do miss the vibe and historical “home” feel places on the east coast convey., that’s hard to find out here.
I asked about the free cloths at All Saint because your friend Claire tweeted about it. She got a preview of the next line and cloths for free and I was wondering how she did it. I work hard for my money but love fashion :)
Brittany! I haven't heard from you in a while! :) What are you up to these days? Also, I wanted to know, when you aren't touring, what sort of job do you hold? :)
hey!! I have been in LA working more in fashion sales and stylist stuff! I am hoping to go back on the road this summer and hope to find a more music industry based job asap! I hope you are doing well!
You seem to be the kind of girl who would do anything to achieve your dreams, like move to a new city to work in the music industry. What do you think about people who do the same as you but hurt people in the process? Things like forget where they're from and people who helped them, or used people to get their own life to progress. Thanks for answering.
I personally believe that it is always most beneficial to you to do as much as you can in life on your own mainly because you will learn so much more and actually succeed properly rather than use and hurt people to speed up your achievements. When you dont work for what you want it will never be what you deserve so you will have everything ripped away from you in the end, karma is a big big bitch when you mess with her. I say keep your goals in mind and work towards them every single day and if good people can help you and vice versa in the process then thats healthy but never abuse the opportunities and people who have been presented to youl
