wow your life sounds amazing!! Im super jealous and that is defiantly where I am aiming to be. I gues I should call my local venues and see if I can volenteer there? That's the only way I'd know how to get any way into the scene haha
honestly try anything and everything, if u dont ask ull never know and if u dont try someone else will!
hey! my dream is to basically do what you do, be a tour manager and all. Im trying to figure out how to get into that and what colleges are good for that? can you give me any advice? Id love a chance to talk with you (:
absolutely!! basically I started at 13 with local street teams and promo and then started locally selling merch. I started my own website at 14 with my friends called beatthescene.com it blew up and people started becoming friends with me in bands and the industry just from me keeping a good rep with the site and the bands. I then went on tour with my friends for fun to see how the life on the road was and loved it! I went to college for 2 yrs for entertainment management in Boston ma at bay state college. Throughout that I also did tours with PETA! a few weeks after I graduated I tour managed sleeping with sirens and then did more peta stuff as well as going back out for fun with SWS for a week. I then tour managed close to home on the Scream It Like You Mean It tour this summer! I now live in LA and plan to keep touring and the site is still up I just dont use it anymore really. Basically just do anything and everything you can for experience even if its non paying because you need to prove yourself in this industry before you can expect to get anything worthwhile in return especially being a female!! My best advice to you is definitely don’t give in to temptations with band guys/industry people etc very often or at all (of course once someone is ur friend and ur surrounded by that type of profession its very common to date someone or whatever) just make sure you keep a strong head on your shoulders and be willing to learn as much as possible!!
...how is the size of a whale a bigger problem than starving children in africa?
ok…wow I meant like when you think your small issues are a big deal they aren’t in comparison to things like children starving in Africa so count your blessings. The picture was supposed to be a metaphor…maybe consider not being so literal especially when on a blog that involves using photos to express how you are feeling.
